The Green Scapular handmade by House of Sacramentals - a beacon of hope, healing, and spiritual transformation. Healing Powers: Wearing The Green Scapular is an act of faith in the healing power of prayer. It serves as a tangible reminder that the Blessed Virgin Mary is present in times of illness, offering comfort, solace, and the potential for miraculous healing. Conversion Powers: The Green Scapular is also renowned for its role in spiritual conversions. Those who wear it or share it with others in faith believe in Mary's transformative intercession, bringing about a change of heart and a turning towards God. It is a powerful tool for evangelization and a symbol of Mary's desire to lead souls closer to her Son. Design and Symbolism: On July 18, 1830, St. Catherine Labouré, a nun from the Sisters of Charity, experienced a visitation from the Blessed Mother, resulting in instructions for a new Sacramental – the Miraculous Medal. A decade later, another Sister of Charity, Sister Justine, received five visits from Blessed Mother Mary in Rue du Bac, France. After Sister Justine received the habit of the Daughters of Charity, Blessed Virgin Mary visited her again presenting a small green cloth with a green cord attached to it. This cloth had pictures on both sides of it. On one side, was a picture of the Blessed Mother as she had been appearing to Sister Justine, and on the other side was a picture of her heart pierced with a sword and aflame with extraordinary rays of light pouring from it. An inscripton with the words, “Immaculate Heart of Mary, pray for us now and at the hour of our death” was written around her heart, and a cross was seen at the top of the flames.
